If you haven’t yet heard about CBD, please come out from whatever rock you’re hiding under.
Now, if you were to believe everything you read in the (alternative) news, you might think that CBD weed can cure everything under the sun. We wouldn’t go as far as to say that, but there are some remarkable advantages to CBD - most of which have been backed by science.
Curious to find out more?
Let’s dive right in.
1. CBD can decrease chronic pain
This may be the most important benefit of all. CBD weed has been shown to significantly decrease chronic pain symptoms. In fact, it is so effective, that it is considered a safe alternative to opiates, which are often riddled with side effects. Many women report that menstrual cramps are reduced greatly through CBD. This offers a far less damaging form of pain relief than regular use of OTC medication.
2. A safe solution for epilepsy patients?
Thanks to its ability to stop attacks in patients with epilepsy, the pharmaceutical industry has already manufactured an official drug using CBD. CBD oil has been shown to have the same effect, however, and is a much cheaper and readily available alternative.
3. CBD helps counteract the effects of chemotherapy
Patients undergoing chemo suffer from multiple side effects, including nausea and decreased sense of hunger. In an already weakened body, these symptoms can wreak havoc on the system even more. CBD has been shown to both decrease nausea and, perhaps as a result, increase hunger signaling.
4. Anxiety and depression
Another very interesting side effect of CBD is its ability to decrease symptoms of anxiety and depression. Whereas regular weed might increase the risk of paranoia, CBD may be beneficial in the treatment of depression as well as other mental issues.
5. Can CBD slow down cancer cell progression?
Yes, CBD has been shown to slow the progression of cancer cells - but only under a microscope. So while there hasn't been a trial in humans as far as we know of, preliminary results look promising and it's definitely something that requires further scientific research.
6. Relief for IBS patients
If you're suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome, or simply have sensitive bowels or stomach, CBD might just be what you're looking for as it's been shown to decrease various symptoms, including spams, diarrhea, pain and gas.
So as you can see, CBD has shown very promising results so far. And while new research is on the way, that shouldn't stop you from already taking advantage of the many benefits CBD has to offer. If nothing else, it's an all natural and affordable treatment you can use, at home, without suffering from any of the drawbacks you would expect from regular weed.
And perhaps most importantly, CBD weed gives you all the flavor, without any of the high!
